The knock at Midnight is an English translation of Professor Puran Singh's poems originally written and published in Punjabi. For their experimental and hierological energy, the poems belong to the literary heritage of our planet. Puran Singh not only introduced into Punjabi Walt Whitman's free verse but also transformed the Western-Cartesianl-centred genre, into a genre of a-main (non-I) articulation.
