Gestures brings together for the first time poetry from six South Asian Countries, viz, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in English Translation. The anthology along with a comprehensive introduction and brief bio-data of the poets feature work by Al Mahmud, Asad Chowdhury, Rafiq Azad, Shamsur Rahman, A. K. Ramanujan, Amrita Pritam, Dilip Chitre, Harbhajan Singh, Kamala Das, Sunil Gangopadhyay, Siri Gunasinghe among their peers.
